Eastbound 96th Ave from McKay Rd / Monaco St
Traveling east from this point, the speed drops from 35 to 40 MPH. The trap is at the end of this stretch where the first roundabout begins.
Once turning onto 96th Ave going east, there is a single speed limit sign for this ~2,000 ft stretch. This is an often-busy intersection and a popular route to Denver International Airport from north Denver. The speed limit sign may be easy to miss if it’s dark or this busy intersection is crowded and you are focused on getting through it in a hurry.
Cops sit on dirt pull-offs at the roundabout and stop you for going over 30 MPH, which is SO easy to do as this is a RIDICULOUS speed limit. And who tends to go 30 MPH on the way to the airport?
