Entire length of town on SR 13
Glouster, Trimble and Jacksonville are the same settlement divided only by lines on a map. All three are notorious speed traps for their entire length. They are on State Route 13, in Athens County. Trimble is the middle third of this money-collecting machine. The cruiser is often found in the gravel lot beside the falling-down ex-schoolhouse on the southern edge of town; it can be found in the residential driveway just north of that, or in the Kroger lot, in the little short-order restaurant’s lot, anywhere it has a radar’s-eye view of the roadway. Make it a practice to set your cruise precisely on 34 when you come to the corp limit sign: do this faithfully, religiously and without fail, otherwise your wallet will regret it: small towns have two moneymakers, their water meters and their radar guns.
