This town has a contract with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and has deputies working various shifts that are strictly assigned to this area. Also, Hwy 99E runs through the middle of town and therefore, they also have overlapping coverage from the Oregon State Police. It is not unusual to see 4 or 5 patrol cars stopping people in this town (population 1,800). Also, as a side note, they tow vehicles under City and County Ordinances for DUII, Driving While Suspended, Driving without a license, and Driving Uninsured.
