Feeder Road near Bank/Housing Development

Rhome, TexasNov 22, 20072 Comments

Down from Wells Fargo bank is a feeder road that leads to Ellis Homestead and back to 287/114. It is 30 mph on that road, and now that Rhome is a locally patrolled area, they will catch you going faster than the posted speed limit. It’s stupid that through town it’s 40 mph, and this non-frequently-travelled feeder road is posted as 10 mph less, but don’t speed on it as easy as it would be to do. Trust me; I grew up in a house off that very road! Now I avoid that road as much as possible b/c I am so tempted to speed on it, even subconsciously!

Comments:
I am in this area often and never see anyone pulled over.

Don't know how you could miss it! One very rude cop had 3 people(including me) pulled over this afternoon. He was sitting on side of road with a vehicle pulled over. I saw him at a distance and was going about 15 or twenty to get around him. Flashed me and I had no idea why! Claimed he clicked me with a rear facing radar going 53. No way! Wrote ticket and said on it...no passenger. My six yr old grandaughter was in the back seat. She wanted to know why he was acting so mean. Now he has two vehicles pulled over and another driver attempts to creep around the congestion, he waves her over as well for speeding. Don't know how he clocked her, he was out of car harassing me. I have never had a ticket! Speed trap? I think so! Faulty equipment and super rude cop!
