Folly Road
Folly road speed limit is 50 mph. But, as soon as you reach Crosby’s fishing pier it drops dramatically from 50 to 40 to 30. The Folly Beach police use marked and unmarked units and they patrol all day. % miles over will get you stopped.

Well, it's not dramatic. It's well marked, with "limit ahead" signs far enough before the change that if you're at the limit you need only take your foot off the gas to slow down to the new limit. It drops from 50 to 45, then to 35. You don't hit 30 until you're coming over the bridge into town (which is one of their favorite spots cuz you're rolling down off the bridge and lifting won't slow you down much) and it's easy to hide in the boat launch parking lot.
That said, the limit is heavily enforced, which given the amount of space and number of people going to and from the beach, makes a lot of sense.
Hey, it's Folly. Relax, slow down, enjoy!
