Highway 6 east of Pe Ell
There are some long flat stretches of road, maybe a couple of miles long, after you pass Pe Ell heading for Chehalis. Washington State Patrol sits on the shoulder at the far end on the stretch where the road begins to turn, and catches you coming into the stretch. The speed limit is 55, but it’s easy to let it creep up, that highway is lightly traveled and it’s wide open road. Coming back the other way from Chehalis, they also have the advantage that the long stretches are through open farmland but the road goes into the trees, so they park under the trees where it’s really hard to see them.
