The local police love to set speed traps along the southbound stretch of highway 67 just before the federal prison. You can find them hiding all along between the railroad tracks and the prison entrance during shift change over. There is a curve and hill just after the tracks where the speed changes from 30 to 55 south bound or 55, 45 and 30 north bound into Florence. The marked patrols will sit completely blacked out at night and you will NOT see them until they are pulling you over. During the day they are more easily seen but as stated before the curve and hill put the situation in their favor. Caution is advised during the night hours if you do not want a hefty speeding citation!
