The speed limit is 55 but don’t go over 50. They will stop you and if you weren’t speeding, they will site you for, fleeing or improper lane change, or anything to write a ticket. They are well known in the county. Emerson is a very small town with 2-3 police cars. The Police Dept. closes on the weekend and Bartow County takes their calls. The spped traps go on, even on the weekend.

yes there is a speed trap and i thank that it f+++ up but all small town's have them and the police officer that got me was very nice to me. and i was a little bit over the posted speed do to passing a slower car and just as i was coming over and down the hill Thar thy was'' i was go to get my wife that had broke down on the side of the road and i told the officer that her and my kid was broke down '' but i still got a ticket for doing 69 in a 55 he seed i was doing 75 but i don't know he reused it to 69 in a 55 thank God. i have not had a speed ticket in 25 year's and i hope i never one a gin but i was at the wrong place at the right time. but like i seed the police officer was very nice and was doing his job for the city of Emerson Ga
