The local police position themselves to catch out of towners going to and from the events at the Hallet Speedway north of town. Even though I have been warned in past years by regulars he got me for going 6 mph over the limit (41 in a 35) which resulted in a $144 ticket. Very polite police officer he even informed me that since I live so far away I can just mail in the funds to the court house so I wouldn’t have to actually drive the long distance to go to court.
