I-81 South between exits 52A and 49
As you approach exit 49 (PA 641) there is a slight hill. Once you crest the hill there is often a police car in the median. I have seen several stops in this location. The speed limit is 55 mph and I have seen people pulled over for 65mph.

Even though this is a "quote" speed trap, in all fairness this area is extremely dangerous! The sheer volume of traffic, not only local carlisle, but tourist and commercial makes it extremely dangerous! I travel this area 6+ times a day and cars and trucks are not only doing 10+ over the speed limit but are running 80+!!! A motorcycle was clocked at 141 MPH 3 mo. ago. Please be careful in this area.
