Interstate 40 east near Exit Number Gordon Road

Wilmington, North CarolinaJul 24, 20082 Comments

Follow the speed limit as you drive east on I-40 into Wilmington. As you approach the Gordon Road Exit, deputies or troopers are waiting in the grass median. I pass this location daily and it’s highly enforced. Occasionally, the new SABLE helicopter will play part in the enforcement. The helicopter will run radar and the deputy or trooper will be waitng down the road. It’s entertaining for the locals.

Comments:
Do not have to worry about the SABLE helicopter anymore but this is one of the biggest speed traps in the area. Speed limit drops from 70 to 55.
