I was pulled over on the way to dinner for going 5mph under the speed limit while going from Pleasant Hill to Blue Springs on 7 highway. I was stopped in a location where there was no shoulder and when I was told I could go, my trucks tires slipped into the washed out ditch and they pulled me over less than 100 feet from the first stop where they pulled my from my truck, threw me to the ground, cuffed me and took me to jail. My son and daughter had to bail me out, where my bail was first set to $1500 and when they came up with the money they raised bail to $3000. They accused me of multiple charges that did not hold up after receiving the dash cam video, however I did not get all my money back because they wore me and my lawyer down with many excuses and delays on receiving the video and court day. The videos track speed had been altered and the sound removed to try to hide the facts. The fact is, this is the worst speed trap in Missouri and one of the most corrupt departments in the country. There speed trap goes over 5 miles south of there town on MO-7 to MO-150 E. to just south of Blue springs, and just as far east and west as they can get away with.
