Lake Witten Road
The speed limit is 35 on one end of this stretch of road and 55 on the other end. This stretch of road has a 30 mile per hour limit. There are only about 7 houses on this entire stretch of road (approx. 2.25 miles). The state troopers always wait at the bottom of a steep hill to trap you. You can’t even coast and maintain 30 down that hill so they get to write a lot of tickets. I don’t know of them giving any warnings just tickets.

I looked at all of these comments and supposed "speedtraps". First, NONE OF THEM ARE IN THE TOWN OF TAZEWELL!! The one about 'coming down the mountain into town on 460' really got me. Approximately 4 miles of U.S. Route 460 are inside the town limits and NOWHERE on that 4 mile stretch of road are there any 35 mph speed limits. Did the person who posted this possibly mean Cedar Bluff or Richlands? Give me a break. At least get it right, for Pete's sake......
