Link Road near Old Pueblo Road Road
The City of Fountain appears to be targeting vehicle enforcement as a means to gain revenue. Speed limits in my opinion are overly cautious. As an example, Link road for almost a mile from the intersection at South Pueblo has open fields on both sides with good visibility. The speed limit is 30 MPH. Enforcement at the beginning of the month is limited. From the middle of each month the enforcement is extreme, such that often 3 cars can be seen radaring traffic from the intersection of South Pueblo Road and Link road to the City Offices which is only a distance of about two miles. Police like to monitor traffic from the parking lot of the School District 8 services building which provides a good view of both South Pueblo Road and Link Road. Another Location that police can be expected is the parking lot of the Church which is located south of Link Road just east of the indicated intersection. Both locations are unobtrusive and provide cover in this wide open area. Police, in my experience, are professional but aggressive, intimidating, and unfriendly.
