Lyndon Street between Inkster and Farmington Roads

The entire length of Lyndon Street (which is the half mile mark between Five Mile Rd and Schoolcraft/96) is a giant speed trap. I’ve gotten a ticket there for going 30 in the 25 before and see cars getting tickets on a daily basis when I drop off and pick up my nephew from school. They park various unmarked cars along the 3-4 mile stretch as if they were just another resident. I have even seen a motorcylce cop there that looks just like the CHiPs bikes from TV! I’m not promoting speeding in a residential area by any means but if they merely wanted you to slow down they would put standard police cruisers out with identifiable marks and you’d pay heed to it without a second thought. Just letting everybody know.

I live on this street and I'm glad they ticket speeders with unmarked cars. They also have speed tigns that record your speed regularly and people do slow down. But when no police or signs telling your speed, people speed on this street regularly. If you slow down to 25 like you should in this residential area you don't have to worry about it. Keep our kids safe!

Residential areas are 25 mph. Hmm let's put a marked car on every residential street in the entire city to slow traffic down. Get off the long skinny pedal and slow down !!!!!

Hahaha! I know this area well. I even know several people who received tickets in this zone. Even after other people told them about the police doing speed enforcement. SLOW DOWN!

While this is a residential area, the lack of stop signs and the fact it isn't a side street (but isn't a main road either) tells me a 25mph limit is too slow. It really should be raised to 30.
