North Dodge St. at/about Church St.
Police park adjacent to Dodge to catch the morning traffic coming down the hill on one-way N. Dodge heading into town. The 25 mph limit is difficult to maintain coming down the hill into the range of their Ka band radar. Enforcement here is good since there is an elementary school on SW corner of Dodge and Church and many children crossing the street between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. on weekdays during school year.

This has been the scene of a lot of accidents. Periodically cops will review where accidents are frequently occuring and set up "saturation points" around town. This is one of them where a plain clothes officer will stand in front of the apartments on the left side which is right next to the alley next to ACE Hardware. He will use a laser gun on the southbound traffic and radio descriptions of violaters to a team of about 3 or 4 cruisers waiting in the alley who nail the speeders one by one. You can spot these guys coming down the hill when you see the red and blue lights flashing in the distance ahead, but slow down quickly as you're just about in the laser's view.
