Old York Road near Dillsburg Elementary School

Carroll Township Police sit in the driveway to Dillsburg Elementary School and time drivers between two white lines painted across the road. The Speed Limit WAS 55 mph, but just before the trap it drops to 25 mph with little warning. The warning is even less at night, as the "Reduce Speed Ahead" sign is not reflective (the "Speed Limit 25" sign is, though). During the winter it is pretty easy to see the cop parked in the driveway, but during the summer it is almost impossible to see him behind the trees. Carroll Township police seem to be most active on Sundays, and this location is no exception, but I have seen them out on other days of the week.

Comments:
This is the worse trap imaginable. The reduce speed sign from the earlier post is no longer in place. On Sundays the locals traffic travels at a constant 50 mph, over several hours it was noted that vehicles that had out of state of could be identified as not from the area were duly sighted while the rest of the traffic continued at the 50 mph pace. Please beware of this revenue grabber!
