Late night trap where officer claimed the I-26 speed was 60 mph. Immediately after mile marker 43 the posted limit is 65.

Ticket mandates that violator because he was going over 15mph over the posted limit MUST appear IN PERSON before the judge or be subject to a warrant. So for out of state residents this is a real problem.

The ticket does not state the address of the place to go…only “Annex” in Hendersonville is given. Also oddly on the ticket the officer does not state where the speeding took place…only stating “in a zone marked 60” and makes me wonder if local police are exceeding their jurisdictional limits. The ticket does not say if it is generated by a state officer or a city or county officer and there were no markings on his unmarked vehicle.
