Oh, this is a doosey! If you are headed east across Las Vegas Blvd either from Hacienda Blvd. or Reno Ave., headed toward the north turn (becoming Koval Ln.) in front of the Executive Terminal of McCarron Airport–you’d better be doin’ the 25 posted speed limit! They’ve got a couple motorcylce units sitting in the parking lot of the professional complex on the south side of Reno holding radar. They call your plate to their buddy hangin’ around the bend (when the street turns north–becoming Koval), where they have a roadblock set up directing violators into the parking lot of the Executive Terminal, where they line you all up and print out tickets from a portable device. After they stung me, I actually complimented them on such an elaborate set-up. Needless to say, after paying my $350 ticket (11mph over), I definitely do the posted 25 to this day!
