Right outside of town headed towards Amarillo as you enter
No warning, it went from 75-40. I haven’t gotten a speeding ticket in 10 years. I was driving 69, which is well below the previous speed limit, (and I was driving well below the speed limit the whole way cause I was in a 16′ moving truck) set me back $289. I called to contest, and they offered me to sign an affidavit saying that if I don’t get a ticket in 90 days anywhere in the US, the fine would only be $134. When I asked why they don’t have more warning the judge gaslit me and told me that it goes 75, 55, 45 (I promise I didn’t see that anywhere). I drove though dozens of these towns and that was the standard. This was not the case here or if it was, they are not well marked. Shame on them for relying on out of towners to pay their bills, because they want to keep living in a small town in the middle of nowhere…
