Anyone leaving downtown Indanapolis on Delaware Street south onto Madison Ave. towards Southport and Greenwood have probably seen this speed trap, but it is worth noting…especially for the out-of-towner. Just south of the stoplight at Pleasant Run Parkway and S. Madison is Emannual High School (left as you go south). It is only a few feet from the road. The speed limit is 25 between 8am and 4pm. The Cop is typically an IPD officer in a marked car hidden on a side street to your right as you go south. BE CAREFUL. Alternatively right around the time school lets out there may be bike cops standing in the median with radar guns waving speeders down. If you speed past them you deserve the ticket. The cops also use the instant-on technique with their radar so your detector my sound too late. Be careful on school days!
