Sheridan Boulevard near 44th Avenue
Mountain View is small comunity that sits between, Denver, Wheatridge and Lakeside. I think they rely on speeding tickets to finance all their city/town services. So be careful on Sheridan Blvd from 38th to 44th avenues.

The town's budget for 2010 is 50% based on the police bringing in an income of about $363,000 in court fees and $200,000 in seizures. (Reference Mountain View City Website, 2012 proposed budget). Their expenses involve "public safety" fees (for paying police salaries, police cars, and fuel) of $350,364. Therefore, the town HAS to have speed traps (and window tint traps) to pay for the police department. By the way, even though their planned seizure income was $200,000, they are falling far short of this (only about 15% of this figure in 2011). Therefore, the speed traps are being used as a tool to inspect vehicles for possible seizures to enhance city income.
