I agree, was caught! Super short yellow at southbound Cicero AV. I'm from the suburbs and wasn't aware of the SHORT yellows, from what I understand Chicago goes with a shorter yellow standard than my area. This helps explain the increase number of red light tickets/Chicago travel with a surprise. This is close to the airport and this definitely is unfair, in essence a revenue maker. I made it to the intersection going southbound speed and light turned from green to yellow, yellow means caution as I was taught, and so entering the intersection at green to yellow I caution brake-tapped and then before I knew it flash of yellow to red!!!!! All it is is driver frustrating and pocket draining. I'm dazed, but not amazed. If I'm such a bad driver, then I should have a record of red light violations in my area. What is this proving?
