State Highway 11 near State Highway Route 11 between Seymour and I-765 Exit 55
Local and state police (there is a post in Seymour) ticket regularly on this route. N Ewing St becomes St Rd 11 north of town, and meets I-65 at Exit 55. The state police use this route to travel north to I-65 northbound, and when exiting I-65 southbound at Exit 55. This is a straight, rural stretch of road, posted at 55mph. It is very easy for velocitized I-65 southbound drivers to exit on this non-stop, mostly straight exit onto Rt 11 south towards Seymour, so no need to slow down much, and find themselves doing 60-something to 70 or more. I pass a state trooper with his radar on multiple days a month on this road, so they have to be out there a lot.
