state highway 190 and state highway 36 , east of temple, tx 12 miles.

Rodgers, TexasJan 13, 20034 Comments

Rodgers is a small town of 1100. has a 30 mile per hour speed limit for two blocks on state highway 36 and state highway 190 in “beautiful”” downtown Rodgers. heavy enforcement of a heavyly traveled road between temple on interstate 35 and houston.”

Comments:
Rogers is a setup, especially if you are traveling west. The speed limit drops from 70 to 55 in such a short distance that just taking your foot off the gas , or kicking the cruise control off, will not decelerate your vehicle quickly enough to prevent busting the 55 mph limit. Then the speed limit very quickly drops to 45, then 30. The cop will often be in the barditch on the south side of Hwy 36 just inside the 55mph sign, which is in a curve and easy to miss. Eastbound is not quite a tricky but the 30 mph through town is for real.

Rogers Is a speed trap. Speed drops quick from 70 to 35 in town and if going west the 35 speed sign on right side of road with lots of trees with police sitting on left side of road to distract you. It is a money making trap on your dime. Needs to be investagated.
