State Highway 81, 413, 184 near State Highway
When you come into IVA SC, beware. The Iva police have nothing better to do other than target you at four (4) Main locations.
1. Heading South into Iva on Hwy 81. Sitting at Burger King.
2. Heading West into Iva on Hwy 184. Sitting at the ballfield or soon at the doctors office parking lot.
3. Heading North into Iva on Hwy 81. Sitting at the gas station on the left or right.
4. Heading South into Iva on Hwy 413. Sitting at the Laundry mat.

Yes, the town has been a speed trap for as long as I've driven through it starting in the mid-1970's. They are allowed by state law to boost fines to astronomical levels (several hundred dollars). So as soon as you see the town border, slow down and stay under.
