State Highway 82
Entering town westbound, the highway speed limit is 55 mph. It changes to 40 mph, and very quickly to 30 mph. If you do not brake rapidly, you will likely exceed 30 mph on passing the 30 mph sign. The local sheriff sits there with radar and is completely unsympathetic! A ticket for 40 mph on passing this 30 mph sign will result in a $98 fine plus the expense and time of traffic school.

I drive through this spot several times a week. Ever since new law enforcement regime was established they are milking this 55 to 40 to 35 to 30 area for all they can get. The local cars often are SUVs that you don't know are police until too late. Usually they simply park by the edge of the road and get folks coming or going. Also, sometimes park at road near the football field. This is obviously a money maker...!
