State Route 55 near State Highway 52
Northbound from Boise, as you descend the big (fast)grade down into the valley of Horseshoe Bend, the speed limit drops from 45 to 25 within a few feet. Right at that point, you are busted. All the way through town, the speed limit is 15-25 and it is a State Highway on the way to a major tourist destination. Enforcement southbound starts at the Hwy 52 turn-off (to the right) and goes to the start of the grade at the other end of town.

The truth of it is this...descending the hill into Horseshoe Bend is 60 mph, turning into 45 mph with a forward warning sign of reduced speed, the outskirts then turn from 45 mph to 35 mph then 25 mph in a 3/4 mile maximum. SLOW DOWN and pay attention...don't speed through our nice town.
