State Route 7 near Fairfax County Parkway
1st trap in the area is heading towards Tysons Corner from Sterling. After you pass Drainsville road coming up on Fairfax County Parkway a few officers sit at the end of the merge ramp front Fairfax County Parkway onto Route 7 using lidar. I have noticed this is usually during the summer or nice warm day and usually 12p.m.-6p.m.
2nd trap in that same area is headling from Tysons Corner to Sterling when you pass Georgetown Pike and your coming up on Fairfax County Parkway an officer likes to pull into an entrance to a home and turn around and run lidar he is hidden really well here by a two brick pillars at night with the way the lights are I can not tell if he is there until I get close. They are there usually late at night.
3rd trap is right after the second one above. When you are coming up to Farifax County Parkway from Tysons again there is a service pull in for the bride and they love to sit there late at night and run lidar also.
The reason they are heavy there is because the speedlimit goes from 55 to 45 right there and it’s downhill so you coast a little faster to. This is about half a mile of road you have to worry about. I recommended never speeding there. This is between Drainsville Rd. and Georgetown Pike.
Hope this saves someone.
