Richland Township police sit on left side of road on abandoned nursery property between a storage building and a greenhouse so as to not be seen before cars passing by can be clocked. Speed limit is 45 miles an hour though most cars do 50-55 mph. This is about .5 miles from the Butler County Line, barely in their jurisdiction. They offer a local ticket for failure to observe traffic safety device or safe speed, so that the payment goes directly to the Township rather than state but this allows an avoidance of points.
