State Route 93 near Lockport Road
This is an often used speed trap and often checkpoint stop of traffic to verify vehicle tags, inspection stickers and for open containers of alcohol. This is done by New York State Police. The area along this town by-pass is in the wooded tree section of the route. If you turn around, you’ll be caught easy. NYSP has at least 8 patrol cars facing certain ways during these inspections. Typically, this is a random checkpoint from Spring to Fall and usually happens from the start of an afternoon into rush hour. 🙁
