State Route 934 near Lebanon Valley College
The annville police love to harass the local college population, and 25mph speed limit (where most people go 40) gives them an excellent oppurtunity to do so. The cop sits on Sheridon (the side opposite lvc) and uses the white lines painted on Rt 934 near where 934 and Sheridon intersects. The lines are conviently painted right after the speed limit drops from 45 to 25, so just slow down to 25 between the white lines.
Also, if you go on rt 322 towards walmart from the college, 322 becomes double lane for a short time (so people can pass). White lines are painted in the middle of that stretch so the police can exploit the fact that people speed up when they pass. They sit by the white lines in little white motorcycles; they sit in plain view, but you can’t really see it’s a police motorcycle until you are on top of it.
The annville township police will also harass you if you are walking around the college area during the night and look about age 18-21. They use the town curfew (18 year olds must be home by a certain hour) as a legal reason to check ID and smell alcohol on your breath. Some of them can be very combative, even if you are doing nothing illegal. During ValleyFest, they sit by the railroad tracks and cite you for crossing them ($300+ = big bucks for town), so, stay away from thoes during valley fest.
