Summerfield Dr. between Heydenreich Rd. and Card Rd.

Macomb, MichiganFeb 28, 20101 Comments

This is a residential street that most drivers are using as a cut-through between Heydenreich Rd. and Card Rd. and to other subdivisions. The sheriff is writing drivers up because speeds on this street are exceeding 40mph, when the posted speed for all residential streets is 25mph! The sheriff is out at various times of the day. Summerfield Dr. is about a mile long and there is 1 stop sign about halfway. It is very easy to go over 40mph if you are not watching your speedometer.

Comments:
This is not a speed trap if you just do the speed limit. It is a residential street with hundreds of young children that play up and down the street. There is a Elementry & middle school on the corner. Just be considerate and not a speeding jerk where there are kids playing and you won't get a ticket. If your dumb as a box of rocks and can't tell the difference between a residential street full of kids, then maybe you should take your own kids, nieces, nephews or grandchildren down to the middle of I-94 and complain that the people doinfg over 70 mph and getting a ticket are in a speed trap. Wake up, there are kids all along this street and anyone getting ticketed, more than deserves it!
