We have been pulled over twice in two weeks on our way back from Americus. The first time, my wife took me to an after-hours clinic there. On our way back, lights appeared in her rearview mirror and she slowed down to allow the vehicle to pass. It was a police car, and two officers pulled us over to ask if she had been drinking and complain that she was driving below the speed limit and "not really maintaining" her lane. Having nothing on her, they let her go but one officer loudly complained the other that "it works, but they won't let us use it!" on the way back to their car. I'm not sure if he meant breathalyzer, camera, etc. but it's worth checking out. The second time, yesterday, I was on the way to church and an officer charged me with improper passing, claiming that my passing another vehicle was "not really safe." I intend to challenge it in court, of course, but I won't be taking my business through Terrell County again. An alternate route (which I'll be using from now on) is to take highway 41 from Shellman to Preston and Plains.
