When approaching Rosebud, use your brakes to bring your speed below the posted limits. Be alert for the signs, because they are unreasonably close together. The Rosebud cops evidently share in the bounty because of their dedication; but they do seem to be honest... If you're 1 mph over the speed limit you'll get a ticket, just like if you'd really been speeding... But if you're within legal limits, you can feel safe: Their radar guns seem fairly accurate, and they will enforce the letter of the law! Speed Trap? Oh yes!! Definitely! Just play the game for 2 or 3 minutes, and you're through the town...

Be careful as the city limits signs are wrong. They sit outside the city limits and write tickets. When I ask about this I was told by city adminstrator that the signs have not been moved> I asked how long? 30 years since they annex it. This is crooked

There are largish signs outside of the city limits on both the north and south end of town that say "CAUTION - SPEED TRAP AHEAD". I assume they are on private property and were most likely erected by somebody who got a ticket speeding through Rosebud. Pay attention and take those signs seriously! SLOW DOWN to the speed limit. I have never been ticketed driving through Rosebud and I drive through there twice a week. On the south side of town, coming from the south, the speed limit drops rather quickly from 60 to 45 and there is a school zone right there as well. The school zone speed limit is 25 mph. You'd better be doing 25 or less when you pass those flashing yellow school zone lights because there is almost ALWAYS an officer in a marked all black Chevy Tahoe police cruiser pointed south with a radar gun. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED.

I'm honestly surprised there aren't a lot more comments about rosebud on here. South side of town just after you round the bend on 77, speed drops quick! Your best bet is to go slightly under speed limit and make sure you don't have a tail light or anything out here! Police officer pulled a gun on me for a tail light out on the north side of town a few years back. They take their little po dunk town's traffic very seriously!! This is the sole source of income to pay those officer's paychecks. Play it safe and don't give them a reason or they will write you up for everything they can find! There are many documented cases of police corruption here and in Lott up the road. They don't mess with locals. Local boy will get a warning for dui but if you are from out of town they will throw the book at you for a seatbelt! I always wave to the officer parked on the side shooting radar when I pass now and he waves back and doesn't think twice about me if he thinks I'm still a local!
