The Entire Town of Deer Park is a Speed Trap!

Deer Park, TexasJan 14, 20101 Comments

How else are they going to pay for their ginormous gleaming police palace?

Take my word for it – I delivered pizza for 3 years in Deer Park and can attest to the hypervigilance of DP’s finest. The speed limit on the major streets (P, X, San Augustine, Pasadena Blvd) changes randomly for no good reason save revenue enhancement and the speed limit on All residential streets is 20 mph. (In case any of you are wondering, no I did Not speed whilst transporting greasy cheesy prefab comestibles to the masses, as I couldn’t afford a ticket.) My advice – stay out of Deer Park!

Hogwash. I have lived in DP 31 years, and have never gotten a ticket. Ever. I drive our streets nearly every day. I do see people speed all the time and not get stopped. One thing I have noticed....if your speedometer doesn't go higher than the little black numbers on those white signs on the side of the road, you don't get a ticket. And there are clearly visible speed limit signs almost everywhere. If you drive the streets all the time, you would know where they change. They are obvious. As for the police station, they needed a new one. The old one was falling down and the roof leaked. It is nice, and very well deserved. It's not ginormous...Pearland's new station is much bigger. And no...I am not a cop, and I don't even play one on tv.
