US 340 & I-64 at south city limit.
US 340(Rosser Ave.) is a 4 lane road that passes through a school zone near the 1-64 ramp. Speed limit drops from 45 to 25. This area is watched by city police every morning and afternoon during school sessions. A major speed trap for this city.

It's very annoying, too, because it's a heavily travelled road and major shopping area, and with all of the stoplights, and businesses, congestion is inevitable. I could understand having the school zone speed limit at certain times of the day if there was a crosswalk where children were crossing the street, but there's not even one of those. It's still a county school (one of the concessions made by the City of Waynesboro when they annexed that particular part of Augusta County) so the kids who go there aren't walking, they're being dropped off by their parents or bussed in.
