US 80 between Mineola east to Hawkins
State troopers always patrol this strip. They park by the railroad tracks at hwys 80 and 2422, and in the gravel parking lot at old abandoned store on S side of 80 in Hoarde. Often they are rolling E or W on 80, to radar oncoming traffic. They monitor the long river bottom E of Hoarde.
Local yokels in Mineola regularly stop westbound incoming cars where the speed drops from 70 to 60, 50, 40, and 30 in a short distance. They also watch for and catch eastbound cars that speed up too quickly in, or coming out of, the 30 zone from the light at 80 and 69.
