US Highway 105 West near US Highway 605
Transitioning from the 605 to the 105 West, traffic is sometimes backed up. The entrance to the carpool lane is 1/2 mile or more down the 105. About once a month CHP hide in the shadow under a bridge up ahead and catch motorists crossing the solid yellow lines into the HOV lane to avoid the traffic backup (common sense would say to make that section an HOV entrance).
