Speed trap runs from the Lamar County line west to the FM1396 intersection, on the new alignment of US82. This stretch has been annexed into Honey Grove, and is considered city limits. Officer will sit anywhere from just inside the county line to just over the hill where the highway drops down towards the FM100 interchange. Favorite position is pointing east. Daytime limit is 70, but nighttime limit statewide is 65. The night limit is strictly enforced- no exceptions. Since this bypass was first put in use, it’s been a great cash cow for the city.
