US Highway I-44 near Kilpatrick Turnpike
The stretch of I-44 from Turner Turnpike all the way south to where I-44 splits off and connects with south bound I-35 is a very popular speed trap for OHP and Oklahoma County officers. OHP prefers to use unmarked vehicles. This is a popular area for catching drug traffickers so heavy enforcement is maintained on the speed limit which is 65 on I-44 until you get near the I-35 split where it immediately drops to 60 in hopes of catching motorists possibly trafficking illealge drugs. They like to park under the bridges in the shade in unmarked cars where they won’t be noticed easily. Sometimes OK county will be there also.
