Vertans Drive near Broadway Road
Pekin Police like to do running radar on the new stretch of Veterans Drive between Court St. (State Rt 9) and Broadway Road. They make loops driving up and down this stretch of road. Posted speed limit is 45mph.

The 45 MPH on Veterans Drive was a deal with the Feds. to get extra money to build the road. As part of your discovery information when you fight one of these tickets is to ask for the study setting the speed limit. If they cannot produce one, you can beat this ticket. If everyone would fight these type of tickets they would stop.
