Washington between Bradley and Overlook

This is the only 2 lane section after 2-3 miles coming downhill from Van Buren. Cop at the bottom of the hill tagging vehicles trying to pass the slower traffic in this short section. Speed limit is 40 mph.

Comments:
Speed trap or not, just drive at speed limit. Try leaving your house earlier. The actual time you save by driving through this "speed trap" is less than one (1) minute. Good for you if you are caught and given a ticket for over speeding. Thanks officers for doing your job.

This is definitely a speed trap; skinny little cop dude gets you after coming down hill; speed signs are not clearly visible. Speed limit not reasonable for stretch of road. I'm sorry, but anytime you got a little dude hiding to catch you doing something you are not maliciously doing that ends up costing you 500, it's a bit creepy; that's a long stretch of open road - how bout going after the real crime and leave the worker bees alone?

If you get a ticket here, get a copy of the current traffic engineering survey and the old, prior survey. The speed limit was posted improperly (40 and should have been 50 mph or 45 mph) when the current survey was done. The rules for speed surveys says there can't be any speed calming measures, or anything that would artificially reduce traffic speeds, when the survey is done.
