Western Avenue near Belmont Street

Chicago, IllinoisSep 04, 20070 Comments

You can drive up and down Western Ave there’s no speed limit signs but it supposed to be 35 mph. As most of Chicagoans know there is a police station at the intersection of Western/Belmont. If you are going southbound on Western you have to use the Thru traffic bridge that goes over Belmont. The Cop parks his car with the other parked cars on the street right before the Walgreens on Elston/Diversey. You will never see him or even if you do you will think it’s a parked car on the street. He has more than enough time to catch you while you’ll be coming down the bridge. 99% of drivers drive over 35 mph at this point. Be careful!
