Whited Street near Milan Avenue
The city of Pittsburgh was at it again, late this week. Vascar speed traps all over town. This one begins after you pass Milan Avenue, heading down towards Route 51. You will decend down a fairly steep grade in which it is near impossible to maintain the posted speed limit of 25 mph, unless you ride your breaks all the way down. At the bottom of the hill, there is a city police officer who is standing behind a bush, looking up at the hill and timing the cars going through the lines. You won’t see the officer until well after completing the VASCAR trap. Luckily, a bunch of school buses that must have been wise to what was going on caused me to slow down to exactly 25 mph going down through there, thus avoiding a ticket. It’s funny how these traps are never "about the money" or "making a quoata," however, why then do they always happen around the 27th or 28th of the month? I guess speeding and safe driving habits are only a priority in the city of Pittsburgh on those two days!
