Nashville, Tennessee Speed Traps
Lafayette Street, near Cameron Middle School
I got pulled over this morning for exceeding the speed limit in a school zone. Fortunately, the officer just gave me a warning (he couldn’t prove how fast I was going), and not a ticket, saving me a ton of money.
I’ve been driving 18 years, and I’ve never been pulled over until today. I always take responsibility for my mistakes, but I swear to you that the signs designating this area (Cameron Middle School) as a school zone are practically INVISIBLE. I went back there, and I still saw no signs.
Perhaps the authorities need to install some flashing lights!
Brewer Avenue near Nolensville Rd.
The speed trap is just before you get to Nolensville Road on Brewer, coming down a big Hill. Usually a motorcyclist cop will sit in the back parking lot of the bowling alley located across from a day care center and kindergarten on Brewer.
Old Murfreesboro Pike near Town Park DR (BNA)
36° 6’3.72"N

Property clearly marked "State Property No Trespassing"
It’s not unusual at 5PM to see some kind of state vehicle facing out to Ole Murfeesboro Pike. No Radar hits yet (seen the trap live twice in recent weeks)
HARDING PLACE NEAR NOLENSVILLE RD,
Harding Place Road near Nolensville Road Nashville, Tennessee
Heading east on Harding Place towards Nolensville Rd., the posted limit is 40 mph. Just before reaching Nolensville, there is a long downhill where cops sit at the bottom in the car wash parking lot and clock drivers coming down the hill, obviously preying on folks who don’t pay attention to their increase in speed as they go down the hill. You have to watch it or they’ll flag you for as little as 44mph.
I-24 Between Smyrna and Bell Rd.
There is an unmarked Gray Chevy compact with tinted windows that often works this area going North in the afternoon. A 250 pound female officer is usually driving it.
