Alamo Heights, Texas Speed Traps
All Areas – Broadway & Residential Streets
Alamo Heights has recently posted 25 mph signs throughout the entire area including Broadway, New Braunfels, and residential streets. The signs read, "25mph unless otherwise posted." The tricky part is that they are almost always immediately followed by a 30mph sign. Where one zone begins and the other ends is obviously vague. I’m not sure if this is the case for Terrell Hills as well, but my mother and I were pulled over on Elizabeth Rd. driving towards Broadway for driving 32mph. The officer was polite, but stated the 25mph signs were up and he gave us a warning. He should have checked the area first, though, because we went back and carefully searched the area for the sign. It had not yet been put up on the street. It was placed the next week.
Broadway Street near College Avenue
Alamo Heights patrol cars sit in darkened service station with radar focused on Broadway. Usually target Southbound vehicles. The posted limit is 30, which no one does late at night. I have seen taxidrivers pulled over. I received a ticket there on a Sunday morning going to Church! These guys are aggressive and inflexible.
Broadway Street
Right turn on Red light is illegal at Broadway and Austin Highway. Sign is obscure if turning onto Broadway near the intersection. Motorcycle enforcement thick. Nice bikes and equipment…sorry I had to pay for it.
