When headed eastbound on 170, an officer typically is located behind the tall brush at the first crossover on the south side of the road just past the Shell gas station/truck stop. Speed limit is 55, but it is very easy to accelerate beyond 55 by the time you reach that point. They also hide out at the crossovers and various dummy inlets all along that road on the other side of hills.
