There is road construction for about 10 miles and I have seen DPS troopers there while the construction is active.

Bandera City limits patrolled by local cops–virtually anything over gets you stopped. If you’re lucky the cops (who will be rude) might let you go if you’re really nice and fortunate. Rest of the county, Sheriffs (and a few DPS) use instant-on K (occasionally ka) to nab you on-coming
