Speed limit goes down from 70 mph to 60 to 50 to 40 in less than a mile. No “reduce speed ahead” signs, and the speed limit signs (particularly for the 40 mph zone) are pretty small and not very visible. City cops sit waiting to clock you mere seconds after crossing into that zone.
